This first page is actually a bonus page I am making him to be the beginning of the rest of the album.

I used the Magnifique papers (X7127B), the Bohemian alphabet (E1019) with Gold embossing powder (Z668) for the number 60, and then used the Poster Board Alphabet (E1014) stamp set for his name. For his picture at the bottom, I used one of the Dimensional Elements from the Booksmart ((Z1223) sponged with chocolate ink (Z2111) using Sponge Daubers (Z726).
My niece Breanna (we call her Breezy) is in Girl Scouts. This makes me kinda proud as I grew up in Girl Scouts and was able to go and do many things through this opportunity. It's that time of year again- YEP...GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME. I talked it over with my sister and asked her what my nieces favorite colors were as I wanted to incorporate that into the LO.

When my sister went through the online catalog, she said Breezy would really like the You Rock papers. I decided to make her a LO featuring those papers and a stamp set that is sadly now retired. I created this LO at the Saturday Night Scrappers Club. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it ends up once there are pictures on it. Once I do get photos, I will come back and add those to this post as well so you can all see the finished work.
I thought it was the perfect paper packet for featuring my pictures welcoming my daughter into the world.

This first page is the left side of the layout. There was a lot of sponging done ahead of time. I did most of the work at the Saturday Night Scrappers Club held at Jen Rubio's house (2nd and 4th saturdays) from 4-10 pm. Then I went home and completed the layout by adding the pictures.
I am way behind on my scrapbooking so I am actually glad that Jen Rubio, my team manager put out the challenge to us. My little girl was only a year old here and is now 13 1/2. Time to get to work and hopefully with all the scrapbooking I will be doing this year I can get caught up and maintain her scrapbooks. I am going to work on getting caught on her brother's scrapbook pages as well.AkuasKeikihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18423257181524274270noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8209843324271488787.post-15032706225635914102011-01-28T23:41:00.000-08:002011-01-28T23:50:49.421-08:00Layout 1 Featuring Wings WOTG

THESE PAGES WERE CREATED USING THE WINGS WOTG KIT AND MY STICKEASE

The theme is "One done every Seven in 2011". This basically means we are to have a goal of one two-page layout done every seven days for our scrap-booking. If we meet this objective, it means we will have a total of 104 pages minimum done for the year. This will really help us to get our scrap-booking done and get more of those Majestic Memories preserved in a way that we can share them with family and friends in the future.
Each time I get a layout done, I will take a picture and post it here. I also put this challenge out to my creative friends to join me on this journey.
I believe strongly in giving common courtesy to others. I believe strongly in giving compassion and consideration to others that I also expect from others. I know I would like to receive the same respect I give to others as well.

Maybe I am way off base, but who would you rather give your hard earned money to?: The businesses that treat you just as a $$$ or those who truly are in their business to provide service to you.

Some examples I can think of could fall into any of the following categories:

The auto repair shop who just wants your money and treats you as just another dollar bill, or the repair shop that sends you out a thank you card for your patronage of their business.

How about the beauty salon who only treats you as just another diva wanting hair and nails done , or the salon that remembered to send you a card for your birthday with some sort of promotion.

What about the family restaurant that your family visits on a regular basis but half the staff doesn't know your name yet the little dive in the hidden area of town sends an invitation to come celebrate your anniversary ?

How about the toy store owner who treated your child like a nuisance? Or the young girl who came to your door selling toys for college;realized your child had been saving up for a long time and the importance of treasured moments and gave your child a toy at great discount, even at cost to her commission to bring joy to your child's face?

What about the party planner who was so busy promoting themselves at your event forgot to include the kids entertainment as part of the program? Or the new business entrepenuer who remembered that it was your 3rd year in medical school next week and brought in a small cake to help you remember to celebrate the little things?

Some of these situations have happened to me personally and others have happened to my friends. They are indicators of people who truly try to provide "service" to others in all they do.

Isn't our hard earned money worth getting customer service? I know my family and I are on a tight budget due to current economic times and I know we will be giving our repeat business to those businesses and individuals who show us they care by going the extra mile, instead of just treating us as another form of profit for them.

If you are in customer service, and would like some creative ways to reach out to your customers, with something a little more personal, please send me an email at MajesticMemories@myctmh.com and I may have some suggestions for you.

Until next time, have a great day and remember, customer service is important to everyone from the young and to the old.
Julia Lary
Honor and Integrity is something you possess
With your intelligence & smarts,
You'd be better than the rest
You'd make a great President right from the start

You set an example for others to follow,
You're an inspiration through time and space
You, my friend are far from shallow
You lead the way with dignity and grace

I know the path isn't easy
And sometimes day are long
You are sincere without being cheesy
You help so many others be strong

You shine a light in the darkness
So others are not alone
You really are
In a league of your own

Your strength and courage is something I admire
For friendship finds a home in the heart
Your bravery is something I truly desire
You've been a true friend right from the start

Our thanksgiving show was absolutely the best
You certainly put me to the test
I'll never again think of pie the same way
As I do from the fun we had that day.

You have a light within you
Unlike so many others
I'm so proud to know you
To call you my friend, my family, my brother.

Keep up the great work you do
You make this journey not so scary
In my heart, no other could replace you
This is a sister's loving poem, to her favorite "brother" is HOPE
There is HOPE
Although the path is long,
And the journey is hard,
You are never alone,
Remember this as you read this card.

There are many more like you,
Who are friends and family,
Who will be here to support you,
We’ve all been there you see.

So while you are going thru the trenches,
And being dragged through the mud,
We’ll be getting off the benches,
With lots of hugs, support and love.

Precious are the moments,
Which we hold in our minds.
As time is stolen away,
And quickly leaving us behind.

We remember our children,
Our little angels so dear.
Our thoughts of love for them through heaven,
Is the only thing keeping them near.

We’ve been robbed of birthdays,
School events, holidays and such.
We can never go on our merry way,
For we miss our children so much.

They may be filled with lies in their sweet little heads,
Lies to place false memories as they lay down to bed.
We hope and pray that the love we gave them from the start,
Will remind them of the truths deep in their heart.

We must always remember to be of strong heart and mind,
For some day we will leave this journey behind.
For our children will not be young forever,
And when the truth is revealed, for it’s then we will treasure.

The love of parent and child restored,
Through faithfulness, trust and hope in the Lord.
For what once was can be again,
For a parent’s eternal love knows no end.
Julia Friend Creed
Although you may not be,
With your loved ones on this day,
Their mom you will always be,
For nobody can take that away

For it is the enemy and the deceiver,
Who seeks to destroy our lives.
Remember your own truths,
And do not believe the lies.

For there is love and beauty,
In never giving up hope,
And if you need help really,
Just reach your hand out for a friendly rope.

So many separated from loved ones dear,
Another day, a week, a month, a year.
We must all be there for each other,
Father, sister, Mother, Brother.

Do not give up the fight,
Eventually good people win.
Never give up your right,
To parent your children again.

If you’re feeling a little down,
And maybe a little lonely,
Turn that frown upside down,
And reach out for another friend closely.

We are here to support each other,
No matter what the reason.
We must show unconditional love to another,
At any and all times, not just because of the season.

Just call out to a friend,
Whenever you are in need.
They’ll be there until the end,
For that is TRUE FRIENDSHIP’s creed.
Julia Morenohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02370734335036410527noreply@blogger.com0
